Puppy Plans

We are a very small kennel and only breed occasionally – we had one litter last year from Azi (the first in three years), and hope that we may have a litter from our young Sunni at the end of this year.  Therefore as you will understand we will have puppies available very seldom.   

You will also appreciate that because I try to provide information and advice on the site, I get a lot of enquiries – and I try to answer them – but some I just don't get to.   

This is not a business  this is my home.  Samoyeds are my life – not my work.

We do not take bookings and we do not promise puppies to anyone we have not met and vetted. It is not fair to raise expectations.  Also, when we do have puppies we expect serious enquirers to visit us when we have pups – and we also expect them to accept a home visit so that we can see where a puppy is going.

If you have never seen a Samoyed, please find a show to attend where you will see many of the breed, including fully grown dogs and bitches which is what a puppy turns into in a remarkably short time. Please note there are 4 samoyed clubs in the UK.

If sold, our puppies are Kennel Club registered and leave with an Accredited Breeders puppy pack.  As well as the usual paperwork you get an extensive information leaflet, enough food for their first few days in the new home and a supply of our water. (The major cause of stomach upsets when puppies go to new homes is the change of water supply) They will also have a mutually signed sales contract. Registrations are endorsed 'not for export' and 'progeny not for registration.' The latter will be lifted when an acceptable hip score and a clear eye test is achieved.

Smiliesam puppies are sold on the understanding that, should there be any problems whatsoever, I am your first port of call. Any problems and they come back here even when they are older.

Export enquiries will be dealt with on their own merit. Please note  I will not sell overseas to anybody I don't personally have prior knowledge of, or can't obtain 'bona fides' about and who can't be bothered to come and see the dogs! If you have enough money to import, you have enough to get off your rear and go and see the dogs you are intending to spend a considerable amount of time with and whose bloodlines you will be dealing with.
